The ultimate trans-Himalayan road trip connecting three states – Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh. Starting from Srinagar’s Dal Lake and concluding in Manali’s pine forests, this epic journey traverses Umling La world record, explores Nubra’s remotest corners, camps at Pangong’s shores, stargazes at Hanle Observatory, and crosses multiple 5,000m+ passes. The grand finale includes the spectacular Changthang to Spiti transition via Tso Moriri.

Day 1: Srinagar to Kargil via Zoji La and Drass (220 km / 7-8 hours)
- Depart from Srinagar passing through Sonamarg – meadows with alpine flowers.
- Cross Zoji La Pass (3,528m) – transition from green Kashmir to barren Ladakh.
- Visit Drass War Memorial – tribute to Kargil War martyrs, second coldest place.
- Drive through Drass Valley and Suru Valley alongside the river.
- Arrive at Kargil town, situated at confluence of Suru and Indus rivers.
- Overnight: Hotel in Kargil.
Day 2: Kargil to Leh via Mulbekh and Lamayuru (220 km / 7-8 hours)
- Stop at Mulbekh to see 9-meter rock-carved Maitreya Buddha (7th century).
- Visit Lamayuru Monastery in moonscape landscape – one of Ladakh’s oldest.
- Cross Fotu La (4,108m) – highest point on Srinagar-Leh highway.

Day 3: Leh Sightseeing – Thiksey, Shey, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace

Day 5: Hunder – Full Day Excursion to Turtuk or Siachen Base Camp, Night Hunder

- Option B – Siachen Base Camp (140 km round trip): World’s highest battlefield, military museum, glacier views.

Day 6: Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route (160 km / 6-7 hours)
- Scenic drive along Shyok River through narrow gorges and dramatic canyons.
- Pass through remote villages: Khalsar, Shyok, Durbuk with military checkpoints.
- Spot wildlife en route: Golden eagles, Himalayan marmots, occasional blue sheep.
- Arrive at Pangong Tso (4,350m) – 134 km lake extending from India to Tibet.

Day 7: Pangong to Hanle via Chushul and Umling La (5,713 mtr) (140 km / 5-6 hours)

Day 8: Hanle to Tso Moriri via Sumdo (150 km / 6-7 hours)

- Wildlife spotting: Tibetan gazelle, golden eagle, bar-headed geese in wetlands.
- Arrive at Tso Moriri (4,522m) – pristine high-altitude lake surrounded by mountains.
- Visit Korzok village and monastery, interact with locals living at extreme altitude.

Day 09: Tso Moriri to Jispa via Sarchu (280 km / 9-10 hours)
- Early departure crossing Polokongka La (4,930m) with panoramic plateau views.
- Join Leh-Manali highway at Debring, continue towards Himachal Pradesh border.
- Cross Taglang La (5,328m) and descend through 21 hairpin Gata Loops.
- Pass through Pang and Sarchu (camping ground on Ladakh-Himachal border).
- Arrive at Jispa village in Bhaga Valley – transition to greener landscape.
- Overnight: Hotel/Guesthouse in Jispa.
Day 10: Jispa to Manali via Keylong and Rohtang Pass (140 km / 6-7 hours)
- Morning drive through Keylong – headquarters of Lahaul Valley.
- Cross Baralacha La (4,890m) with views of Suraj Tal (highest lake on this route).
- Navigate through Atal Tunnel or Rohtang Pass (3,978m) – gateway to Kullu Valley.

Day 11: Manali Departure
