

Phyang to Hunder (Nubra Valley) Trek Itinerary

Overview:
This high-altitude trans-Himalayan trek connects the Indus Valley to the Nubra Valley, crossing remote passes and pristine alpine landscapes. The route offers panoramic views of the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges, passes through nomadic grazing lands, and ends in the iconic sand dunes of Hunder. It’s a rare trail where you experience both the raw remoteness of the mountains and the cultural richness of Nubra.

- Route: Phyang → South Base → Lasermo La → North Base → Hunder Drok → Hunder
- Highest Point: Lasermo La (5,430m)
Day 1: Arrive in Leh (3,500m)
- Rest and acclimatization
- Optional short walk around Leh market or Shanti Stupa
- Overnight in guesthouse or hotel
Day 2: Acclimatization Day in Leh
- Acclimatization walk to nearby ridgeline or monastery
- Final gear check and briefing
- Overnight in Leh
Day 3: Leh to Phyang to South Base Camp (4,200m) – 14 km
- Drive to Phyang village
- Begin trek from Phyang gompa
- Gradual ascent through wildflower-filled meadows and pastures
- Camp at South Base Camp
Day 4: South Base to Lasermo La to North Base Camp (4,500m) – 14 km
- Early start to cross Lasermo La (5,430m)
- Steep ascent to the pass with panoramic views
- Descend over rocky trail to North Base Camp
- Overnight at camp
Day 5: North Base to Hunder Drok (4,000m) – 16 km
- Trek through high alpine meadows and glacial streams
- Views of the Nubra Valley begin to emerge
- Camp near the grazing grounds of Hunder Drok
Day 6: Hunder Drok to Hunder (3,040m) – 18 km
- Descend into Nubra Valley by Jeep
- Reach Hunder village, famous for sand dunes and Bactrian camels
- Jeep tour of Nubra Valley ( Hunder Sand Dune, Turtuk)
- Stay in Hunder or Diskit
Day 7: Return to Leh via Khardung La (5,359m)
- Scenic drive back to Leh over Khardung La Pass
- Rest and visit Leh market
- Overnight in Leh
Day 8: Fly Back to Delhi

Cancellation Policy
- 5% deduction for cancellations made 30 days or more before the departure date.
- 50% deduction for cancellations made between 15 to 30 days before departure.
- No refund for cancellations made within 15 days of the departure date.
