Start from Manali, ride through Manali’s hill station charm, conquer the extreme Shinkula Pass into remote Zanskar Valley, explore ancient monasteries accessible only by motorcycle, cross back via Pensi La, and complete with Ladakh’s highlights including Nubra, Pangong, and Hanle. This ultimate circuit combines Zanskar’s isolation and challenge with comprehensive Ladakh exploration – a bucket-list expedition for experienced adventure riders.

Day 1: Manali Local Sightseeing and Bike Handover
  • Bike allocation and test ride in Manali – Royal Enfield Himalayan recommended.
  • Old Manali exploration, expedition briefing about Zanskar challenges ahead.
  • Bike preparation: Panniers installation, toolkits check, spare parts verification.
  • Route discussion: Shinkula Pass strategy, Zanskar terrain navigation.
  • Overnight: Hotel in Manali.
Day 2: Manali to Jispa via Atal Tunnel and Sissu (140 km / 6-7 hours)
  • Ride through Solang Valley, enter Atal Tunnel (9 km) or cross Rohtang Pass.
  • Stop at Sissu – first Lahaul village with waterfall and Chenab River views.
  • Ride through Keylong (Lahaul headquarters) with Kardang Monastery across river.
  • Arrive Jispa in scenic Bhaga Valley, rest and preparation for extreme riding ahead.
  • Final bike check: Tires, brakes, chain, oil – critical for Shinkula crossing.

Day 3: Jispa to Padum via Shinkula Pass (200 km / 10-12 hours extreme riding)
  • Cross Baralacha La (4,890m), ride along Suraj Tal (source of Bhaga River).
  • Navigate Shinkula Pass (5,091m) – extreme off-road, one of toughest motorcycle passes.
  • Steep rocky ascent, narrow mountain tracks, river crossings requiring advanced skills.
  • Dramatic descent into Zanskar through Gombo Ranjong, Purne villages – challenging terrain.
  • Arrive Padum exhausted but accomplished after conquering legendary pass.
  • Overnight: Guesthouse in Padum.
Day 4: Padum Sightseeing – Karsha, Stongdey, Zangla (100 km local riding)
  • Rest day with light riding to Zanskar’s major monasteries.
  • Ride to Karsha Monastery (largest in Zanskar) – short off-road climb.
  • Visit Stongdey Monastery, ride to Zangla village (former Zanskar kingdom capital).
  • Explore Zangla Palace and monastery, interact with royal family if available.
  • Bike maintenance after Shinkula crossing: Clean, check damage, lubricate chain.

Day 5: Padum to Kargil via Pensi La and Rangdum (240 km / 9-10 hours)

Day 10: Pangong to Hanle via Chushul (140 km / 6-7 hours)

  • Stop at Rezang La War Memorial near Chushul – tribute to 1962 heroes.
  • Off-road riding through Changthang Plateau with wildlife sightings.
  • Navigate rocky terrain and stream crossings to reach Hanle.

  • Overnight: Homestay in Hanle.
Day 11: Hanle to Leh (280 km / 9-10 hours) – Bike Return
  • Long final riding day across Changthang back to Leh via Chumathang.

  • Motorcycle damage charges: Costs arising from accidental damage to the bike during the tour
  • Force Majeure: Expenses incurred due to unforeseen circumstances such as landslides, roadblocks, natural disasters, political unrest, or road closures beyond our control
  • Goods and Services Tax (GST): 5% GST applicable on total tour cost
  • Personal Expenses: Laundry, telephone calls, tips, beverages, shopping, and personal purchases

  • Less than 9 days before departure: 100% (no refund)
  • After tour starts: No refund for early exit or unused services
