Overview:

Day 1: Srinagar to Kargil via Zoji La (220 km / 8-9 hours)

• Departure from Srinagar through Sonamarg’s meadows and alpine scenery.

• Visit Drass War Memorial, ride through second coldest inhabited place.
• Navigate changing terrain from lush Kashmir to barren Ladakh.

Day 2: Kargil to Leh via Mulbekh and Lamayuru (220 km / 8-9 hours)

• Stop at Mulbekh rock-carved Buddha, ride through Wakha gorge.
• Explore Lamayuru Monastery in moonscape landscape, photography break.
• Cross Fotu La (4,108m) and Namika La (3,718m) – high-altitude pass practice.

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Hunder via Khardung La (120 km / 6-7 hours)

Day 6: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok Route (160 km / 7-8 hours)

• Ride along Shyok River – scenic but challenging with gravel and river crossings.
• Navigate gorge sections, loose gravel requiring constant focus and control.
• Pass through Khalsar, Shyok, Durbuk villages with permit checks.
• Arrive at Pangong Lake, ride along accessible shoreline to camp.
• Sunset photography session, evening by the famous color-changing lake.
• Overnight: Camp at Pangong Lake.

Day 7: Pangong to Hanle via Chushul (140 km / 6-7 hours off-road)

• Morning lakeside ride, navigate south via Man village on less-traveled route.
• Stop at Rezang La War Memorial near Chushul – 1962 war historic site.
• Off-road riding through Changthang Plateau – technical skills required.
• Rocky terrain, stream crossings, high-altitude challenges testing rider ability.
• Arrive Hanle (4,500m), visit monastery and astronomical observatory.
• Overnight: Homestay in Hanle.

Day 8: Hanle – Mig La World Record Ride, Stay Hanle (100 km round trip)

• Epic ride to Mig La (5,798m) – world’s highest motorable road.
• Navigate uninhabited wilderness on rough mountain tracks at extreme altitude.
• Summit celebration, official signboard photos, world record achievement.
• Limited time at summit (30-45 mins) due to extreme altitude effects.
• Return to Hanle carefully, rest and recovery after record-breaking ride.
• Overnight: Homestay in Hanle.

Day 9: Hanle to Tso Moriri via Sumdo (150 km / 7-8 hours)

• Ride across Changthang Plateau through Sumdo, Nyoma remote settlements.
• High-altitude terrain with nomadic camps, yak herds, pristine wilderness.
• Wildlife sightings: Kiang (Tibetan wild ass), marmots, Tibetan gazelle.
• Arrive at Tso Moriri Lake, visit Korzok village perched at 4,522m.
• Evening lakeside ride, bird watching (Bar-headed Geese, Black-necked Crane).
• Overnight: Camp at Tso Moriri.

Day 10: Tso Moriri to Jispa via Sarchu (280 km / 9-10 hours)

• Cross Polokongka La (4,930m), join Leh-Manali highway at Debring.
• Ride over Taglang La (5,328m) – third highest pass on this epic journey.
• Descend through spectacular Gata Loops (21 hairpin bends) – thrilling section.
• Pass through Pang and Sarchu (Ladakh-Himachal border camping ground).

Day 11: Jispa to Manali via Keylong and Rohtang (140 km / 6-7 hours)

• Cross Baralacha La (4,890m), stop at Suraj Tal (highest lake on route).
• Navigate Atal Tunnel or cross Rohtang Pass (3,978m) based on season.

Day 12: Manali Departure – Bike Handover
