Conquer one of the world’s most challenging motorcycle routes through the remote Zanskar Valley. This expedition combines extreme high-altitude riding, river crossings, off-road sections, and the legendary trek to Phugtal Monastery. Ride from Leh to Manali via Zanskar’s isolation, crossing Pensi La and Shinkula Pass, navigating terrain that tests both rider skill and motorcycle capability. An adventure for experienced riders seeking the ultimate Himalayan challenge.

Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Bike Handover and Acclimatization
  • Arrive Leh, hotel check-in for mandatory acclimatization rest.

  • Expedition briefing: Route challenges, off-road techniques, river crossing strategies.

Day 2: Leh Sightseeing – Thiksey, Shey, Sangam (80 km warm-up ride)
  • Acclimatization ride to Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace on paved roads.

  • Hemis Monastery visit (optional) for cultural immersion before remote journey.

  • Visit Mulbekh rock-carved Buddha, continue through Wakha gorge to Kargil.

Day 4: Kargil to Padum via Pensi La (240 km / 9-10 hours challenging riding)
  • Ride through spectacular Suru Valley with views of Nun-Kun massif (7,000m+ peaks).
  • Cross Pensi La (4,400m) – gateway to Zanskar, frozen lake at summit, photo stop.
  • Visit Rangdum Monastery isolated in vast plateau, challenging off-road section begins.

  • Arrive at Padum – administrative center of Zanskar, check bike condition after rough ride.

Day 5: Padum Sightseeing – Karsha, Stongdey Monasteries (60 km local riding)
  • Light riding day for rest and cultural exploration after challenging journey.
  • Ride to Karsha Monastery (largest in Zanskar) – short off-road climb to hilltop.
  • Visit Stongdey Monastery with ancient murals, easy riding on local village roads.
  • Explore Padum town, interact with locals, enjoy traditional Zanskari hospitality.
  • Bike maintenance: Check tires, brakes, chain, oil levels before Phugtal trek.
  • Overnight: Guesthouse in Padum.
Day 6: Padum to Phugtal Trek and Gonbo Ranjong (80 km ride + 8 km trek)
  • Ride to Cha village via Purne (65 km, 3 hours) – off-road sections, river crossings.
  • Park bikes at Cha, trek to Phugtal Monastery (4-5 hours round trip, 8 km).
  • Explore cliff-dwelling monastery accessible only by foot – architectural marvel.
  • Return to bikes, ride to Gonbo Ranjong camping area via Bardan village.
  • Basic camping setup, rest before challenging Shinkula Pass crossing next day.
  • Overnight: Camp at Gonbo Ranjong (basic facilities).
Day 7: Gonbo Ranjong to Manali via Shinkula Pass (350 km / 12-14 hours extreme riding)
  • Very early start (5:00 AM) for longest and most challenging riding day.
  • Cross Shinkula Pass (5,091m) – extreme off-road, steep ascents, rocky terrain.
  • Navigate through remotest Zanskar areas, multiple river crossings, no fuel stations.
  • Cross into Himachal Pradesh via Darcha, join paved Leh-Manali highway at Jispa.
  • Ride through Keylong, cross Rohtang Pass, descend into lush Kullu Valley.
  • Overnight: Hotel in Manali.
Day 8: Manali Departure – Bike Return
  • Morning at leisure, bike return and final inspection at Manali.
  • Settlement of security deposit, damage assessment, documentation completion.
  • Transfer to Manali bus stand or Bhuntar Airport for onward journey.

Tour Exclusions:

  • Any services, meals, or activities not specifically mentioned in the inclusions list above
  • Motorcycle damage charges: Costs arising from accidental damage to the bike during the tour
  • Force Majeure: Expenses incurred due to unforeseen circumstances such as landslides, roadblocks, natural disasters, political unrest, or road closures beyond our control
  • Goods and Services Tax (GST): 5% GST applicable on total tour cost
  • Personal Expenses: Laundry, telephone calls, tips, beverages, shopping, and personal purchases

Payment Schedule:

  • Booking deposit: ₹4,000 per person to confirm reservation
  • Balance payment: Due 15 days before tour start date

Cancellation Charges:

  • 15+ days before departure: 25% of total cost
  • 10-14 days before departure: 50% of total cost
  • Less than 9 days before departure: 100% (no refund)
  • After tour starts: No refund for early exit or unused services

  • Refunds processed within 14 business days
  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email
