Overview:

Day 1: Arrival in Leh (3,500m)

• Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to hotel.
• Complete rest for the day to acclimatize to high altitude.
• Hydration and light meals as per acclimatization protocol.
• Evening: Short walk to Leh Market (if feeling comfortable) and Shanti Stupa.
• Briefing about the tour and altitude safety measures.
• Overnight: Hotel in Leh.

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing and Departure

• Morning sightseeing: Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, and Stok Palace.
• Visit Hall of Fame Museum and Leh Palace.
• Visit Sangam (Indus and Zanskar River Confluence), Gurdwara Pathar Sahib
• Last-minute shopping at Tibetan Market.
• Evening: Shopping at Tibetan Market and Leh Market.
• Overnight: Hotel in Leh.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (120 km / 5-6 hours)

• Early morning departure for Nubra Valley.
• Cross Khardung La Pass (5,359m) with spectacular mountain views.
• Photo session at the iconic Khardung La signboard.
• Arrive in Nubra Valley and check-in to camp/guesthouse.
• Visit Diskit Monastery and 32-meter Maitreya Buddha statue.
• Experience Bactrian camel ride on Hunder’s sand dunes.
• Evening: Explore Hunder village and enjoy the cold desert sunset.
• Overnight: Camp in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Hunder to Turtuk and Thang Village  (160 km / 6 hours)

• Drive along the Shyok River towards Turtuk — offers a completely different cultural experience compared to central Ladakh known as balti culture. Became part of India after 1971.
• Walk through narrow stone lanes lined with apricot orchards, traditional Balti houses, and wooden balconies..
• Drive to Thanng, one of India’s northernmost villages near the Indo-Pak border 
• Back to Hunder Village.
• Overnight: Hotel in Hunder.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok (160 km / 6-7 hours)

• Morning drive along the scenic Shyok River route.
• Navigate through rugged Himalayan terrain and remote villages.
• Arrive at the breathtaking Pangong Lake by afternoon.
• Leisure time by the lakeside to witness color transformations.
• Photography at the famous ‘3 Idiots’ shooting location.
• Witness spectacular sunset over the lake.
• Overnight: Camp/cottage near Pangong Lake.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La (160 km / 6 hours)

• Early morning sunrise viewing at Pangong Lake.
• Return journey to Leh via Chang La Pass (5,360m).
• Stop at Chang La summit for panoramic views.
• Visit Hemis Monastery, the largest and richest monastery in Ladakh.
• Drive through the beautiful Indus Valley.
• Arrive Leh by evening with time for rest and shopping.
• Overnight: Hotel in Leh.

Day 7: Departure from Leh

• Transfer to Leh Airport for departure.
